Can I include extra material, such as a wedding invitation or vows in the frame?
Yes! Upon booking in, we will go over what you want your design to look like and if you would like to add any extra materials into the design. I love adding extra personal touches such as invitations, love letters, vows, etc. I can even frame sonograms with pressed flowers. This is all easily done by ensuring this extra material finds its way to me with the flowers safely.
Will my flowers fade over time in the frame?
As the flowers are all natural, they will fade and change colour over time, however they will retain their natural organic forms. To decelerate their fading and preserve their colour, be sure to display your artwork outside of direct sunlight and out of rooms with high-humidity levels. I will include a ‘how to look after your piece’ information card with your order.
Can you press all flowers?
Unfortunately not all flowers are suitable to be pressed, but we will discuss what flowers you are hoping to be pressed during a telephone consultation. If your flowers contain enough flowers that are able to be pressed, I can for sure work with those! I will inform you if there are flowers not able to be pressed in your order and work with you accordingly.
How involved will I be in the design?
Once the flowers have come out of the press, I will send you some mock designs and work with you to make sure the design of your special flowers are exactly how you wish! It is so important to me that you love the finished piece.
My event is not based in Sussex. Can I still get my flowers preserved?
Yes! Whilst we are based in Brighton, Sussex (UK), we accept orders from across the UK. You can post your flowers directly to me following your event with the instructions here.
My event was a while ago- can you recreate pieces?
Yes! If your event has passed, then I would love to work on a floral recreation for you. If you send me a photo of the floral arrangements you had, I can see if I have any similar pressed flowers in my collection to recreate a bespoke piece, or we can work with a florist to recreate your flowers for pressing and framing. This option is great if you didn’t get your flowers pressed at the time, and also works beautifully as a gift.
Can my dried bouquet be pressed and dried?
Unfortunately I cannot press flowers that have already been dried. You could consider having your flowers recreated to be pressed.
How long will my order take?
The time to press your flowers and create your final bespoke piece can alter depending on the piece itself. From the moment your flowers are dropped to the studio, the entire process normally takes around 12-16 weeks. This is to ensure the flowers are pressed as best as the can be, and to work with you around the designing stage according to your preferences for the final piece.
How quickly do you need my flowers after my wedding/ event?
Flowers always press better when they are fresher, so I can only accept flowers arriving at my studio between 1 and 3 days after your event/ wedding, but I would definitely recommend getting them to me on the 1st day if possible.
How do I get my flowers to you for pressing?
If you are based near Brighton, dropping them directly to me as soon as possible following your event (within 3 days is ideal.) However, if you are further afield you can post them to me. Instructions for this can be found here.
